The "LIVADIA-FEST International Organ Music Festival took place at the Livadia Organ Music Centre from 26.11.05 to 10.12.05.
Organists from the Ukraine, Latvia, Poland, Czechia took part in the Festival. The Ministry of Culture and Arts of the Ukraine, the Livadia Organ Music Centre, and the Ukrainian Association of Organists “Organum” were the organisers of the Festival.
The superb interior of the Organ Hall in an old renovated building located on the premises of the Livadia Palace Complex, the Hall's outstanding acoustics, amplifying a the perfect sound of one of the country's largest organs, and music by performers from all over the world ensure that concerts in this marvellous hall are a great delight for lovers!
The First International Organ Music Festival “Livadia-Fest” took place in Livadia from 10 July to 26 September 2004. Organists from many countries took part in it. The Crimean Parliament, Yalta city Administration and the Germans of Crimea Fund were the organiser of the Festival.
We have attempted to introduce something new to our city with the help of this Festival. Many festivals take place in our city, but only few of them are dedicated to purely classical arts. Yalta is a special cultural centre, and this Festival has therefore provided the cultural map of our country with a new focal point.
